Tony Ciochetti is a Professor of Real Estate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Ciochetti served as Property Developer and an Expert in Commercial Mortgage Backed Securitisation. He held positions at the University of North Carolina and has taught at the University of Wisconsin Business School and Cambridge University. He has been Non-Executive Director of Deutsche Land Plc., since April 3, 2006.
Ramesh Lakshmi-Ratan is the President of American Printer, a 133-year old firm re-inventing publishing media through direct marketing. Previously, Dr. Ratan served as President, Marketing Services Solutions at Pitney Bowes. Ramesh holds a Ph.D. in operations research and marketing from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.M.S. in operations research and marketing from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute at the University of Bombay (India), and a B.Sc. in mathematics, physics, and chemistry from the University of Poona (India).
Laila Macharia is a corporate lawyer admitted to practice in Kenya as well as in New York and Maryland (USA). In addition to her rich real estate background, Laila has wide experience managing international projects and transactions, including at the New York office of Clifford Chance, a leading global law firm, and at Kaplan & Stratton in Nairobi. She holds a B.A. in Planning from the University of Oregon, a J.D and LL.M from Cornell University and a doctorate in law from Stanford University.
Duncan (Dunne) Onyango is currently the Director for East Africa at the Acumen Fund. Previously, Duncan served as the Group Chief Finance Officer of Rift Valley Railways, where he led the structuring of a US$287M debt and equity capital investment in the rail sector. He began his career with over ten years at Abbey National, a major international bank in London. Duncan holds an honors degree in Computing and Retail Management from Oxford University.
